Planning ahead for a successful transfer journey

ASU offers many great tools to assist your students on their transfer journey! Whether students are just starting the transfer process or well on their way, here are some great resources to share with your students.

Using the MyPath2ASU® suite of transfer tools will help transfer students complete prescribed transferable coursework at their community college while working toward their associate degree. With MyPath2ASU, students can choose from 400+ on-campus and online degrees, saving time and money and minimizing loss of credit by planning their path to degree completion. They’ll also have 24-hour access to ASU’s transfer tools; use of the ASU Transfer Guide to track their progress; and access to ASU Career Services for career advising, assessment and access to job search tools. Plus, they’ll receive regular communications and invitations to university-sponsored events.

Explore this dedicated source of transfer student resources all in one place. It’s a great way for students to get started as they plan for their first semester and become more involved with the ASU community. And with more than 300 degrees and certificate options to choose from, students can even begin enrolling in classes this summer and fall through ASU Online. We invite your students to learn more about the next steps in applying and to reach out to an undergraduate admission team member with any questions.

Celebrating transfer student success: Arizona Western College commencement 2024

In celebration of Arizona State University’s partnership with Arizona Western College, ASU was honored to participate in a special commencement ceremony on May 17 during AWC’s 60th anniversary and to confer degrees for ASU’s Class of 2024.

As part of the nearly decadelong partnership, ASU expanded opportunities for AWC students to earn their bachelor’s and master’s degrees while remaining in Yuma with the establishment of ASU at Yuma, and more recently ASU Local in Yuma. Originally designed to offer degree programs serving the economic and workforce needs of the community, the collaboration between institutions evolved to support the growing student population through innovative on-campus and online programs. Since the 2020–21 academic year, AWC has had more than 800 students enroll at ASU!

Transfer Student Ambassadors

We're hiring transfer students to join Academic Alliances!

Academic Alliances is hiring for transfer student ambassadors to work with transfer students just like them! This is a great opportunity to serve as a liaison to assist future transfer Sun Devils and to share their knowledge gained from their personal journey to ASU.

Transfer student ambassadors serve as a point of contact for students interested in transferring to ASU from a community college, and to inform students of the benefits of MyPath2ASU. If you know of any transfer students looking for a part-time position to enrich their academic experience, we invite you to let them know about this awesome opportunity.

To view the job posting, students can login to MyASU and go to Student Employment Job Search, click on “On-campus jobs,” then search “Transfer Student Ambassador.”
